Nominaciones a premios de la Academia 2020

"Joker" de Todd Phillips, una historia de origen de cómic sobre el mayor enemigo de Batman, obtuvo 11 nominaciones al Oscar, incluyendo mejor película, mejor director para Phillips y mejor actor para Joaquin Phoenix.

La épica mafia de Martin Scorsese "The Irishman", "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" de Quentin Tarantino y "1917" de Sam Mendes siguieron de cerca con 10 asentimientos por pieza. Esas películas, junto con "Ford v Ferrari", "Jojo Rabbit", "Little Women", "Marriage Story" y "Parasite" competirán por la mejor película.

Las cineastas fueron excluidas por completo de la carrera del mejor director. Junto con Phillips, los nominados incluyen Scorsese por "The Irishman", Mendes por "1917", Tarantino por "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" y Bong Joon Ho por "Parasite".
